eBay Attracts Top Fashion Brands to Sell Direct

Last week, EcommerceBytes noted how eBay has successfully attracted top electronics brands and retailers to open storefronts on its marketplace – but did you know it has also enticed some top fashion brands to sell direct on eBay.com?

In a notice called “Skip the mall, shop on eBay” that was addressed to fashion publishers who participate in its affiliate program, it encouraged them to drive traffic to fashion brands on eBay:

“Did you know that eBay has unique partnerships with some of the hottest fashion brands from Aeropostale to Zales? Each of these popular brands has its own dedicated storefront, providing shoppers with an unmatched shopping experience for the must-have items from their favorite shops.”

The list of “top fashion storefronts” it linked to were Aeropostale, American Apparel, Bare Necessities, Boden, Calvin Klein, Crocs Outlet, Dooney & Bourke, Easy Spirit, Elie Tahari, Fila Factory, Guess Outlet, Hanes Brand, Igigi, Jockey, Joe’s New Balance Outlet, Jones New York, Jos A Banks, Kenneth Cole, London Fog, Maidenform, Nine West, Reed Jewelers, Solstice, Spanx, Speedo, Target, The Watchery, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Wacoal, Wilson’s Leather, and Zales.

eBay told affiliate members, “By guiding your visitors to eBay’s Fashion storefronts, you’ll be able to provide them with an exceptional buying experience – which could mean greater affiliate earnings for you.”
