Terapeak Improves Research Tool for eBay and Amazon Sellers

Terapeak has added new features to its research tool for eBay and Amazon sellers that offer a greater degree of personalization. Search Manager and Bulk Research are immediately available for all users of Terapeak for eBay and Terapeak for Amazon, and merchants with more than one person using the tool will benefit from a new feature called Multi-User Account Management.

Terapeak calls itself a “marketplace analytics platform” used by merchants to evaluate pricing, sourcing opportunities, market trends, product behavior across regions and their competition. It analyzes more than 4.6 billion transactions per year and over $70 billion in online consumer spending to provide marketplace intelligence to clients. Its market share of eBay by gross sales of merchandise is 6.2%.

The new features were developed in response to user feedback and help streamline Terapeak sellers’ day-to-day tasks and increase productivity by helping them search and track items as efficiently as possible.

Search Manager allows eBay sellers to save their favorite search specifications as named searches, eliminating the need to re-enter search parameters each time.

The company explained, “Given that Terapeak offers more than a dozen adjustable parameters per search, this feature will greatly enhance search speed and ensure that recurring searches are performed reliably. With a centralized interface for managing frequent searches, sellers now have a fast track to the marketplace intelligence that drives strategic decisions.”

Bulk Research allows sellers to research up to 10 products at a time. “This will significantly speed up research for advanced sellers who typically perform multiple product searches individually,” Terapeak explained. “By uploading a .csv list, cutting and pasting from an existing list, or directly typing their search terms, a Terapeak user can bundle up to 10 saved searches and view the key results for each within a single page.”

Terapeak’s new Multi-User Account Management feature will allow sellers with multiple employees to manage their subscriptions from a single page. Sellers can now seamlessly add new users, reassign existing subscriptions, and delegate administrator capabilities to help them enforce internal usage policies.

Terapeak has also upgraded the Product Performance Widget for MySales. Now, sellers can quickly scan their listings and then select any products they want to target for more in-depth research, and there are no longer any limits on the number of insights they may generate.

In 2013, Terapeak merchants sold more than $4.4 billion on eBay platforms worldwide, and 31.5% of merchants who gross more than $1 million per month in eBay sales used Terapeak last year. Terapeak recently announced that close to 3 million merchants were now using Terapeak’s Analytics through one of its ecommerce products.

“Ultimately, Terapeak users are more successful than non-users because they have marketplace visibility and are able to make informed decisions,” said Terapeak CEO Kevin North.

Terapeak costs $29.95/month, more information and pricing options are available on the Tereapeak website. And more information about the new features is available on the Terapeak blog.
