eBay is running a free listing promotion in the UK, but it is limiting the sellers who can participate. Only private (casual) sellers who receive an invitation are eligible.
eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who have been invited to participate and are not below-standard sellers or otherwise restricted from selling can create up to 100 auction listings in an eligible category and pay no insertion fees. Items listed with a Reserve Price are excluded. Sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.
The promotion runs from March 15 – 18, 2014. Only items listed on eBay.co.uk are included. Listings using the auction-style with Buy It Now format will be charged only the listing upgrade fee.
Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Sellers who registered after March 15, 2011 or haven’t listed any items for a while may have a listing allowance of 10 items or of 650 pounds per month.
