eBay Offers Store Owners More Free Listings in March

eBay is running a promotion in which eBay Store owners receive 2,500 additional free listings for the month of March. Store owners who activate the promotion can list up to 2,500 additional auction or fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees through March 31, 2014. The promotion is in addition to the free insertion-fee promotion for up to 50 auction-style or fixed price listings per calendar month “or any other insertion fees that you receive as part of a Store subscription,” eBay explained.

While 5, 7, 10 and 30-day listing durations are included, eBay will charge the listing upgrade fee for 10-day duration auction listings. 1-day and 3-day listing durations are specifically excluded from the promotion.

“March is a lucky month for our eBay Stores sellers,” Alison Raphael wrote on eBay’s blog, “We are showing our appreciation by giving subscribers an extra 2,500 listings for free this month! All you have to do is activate the offer and start listing.” Raphael, who came from eHarmony a year ago, is Senior Manager of Pricing & Monetization at eBay.

To participate, invited sellers must activate the Promotion by selecting “Activate offer” in the invitation email or on the promotion landing page. Items listed prior to a seller activating the promotion will not be eligible for the promotional rate.

While the terms say the promotion is available to current eBay Stores sellers only, an announcement board post says, “Note that new eBay Stores subscribers are eligible for this offer as well, so if you’ve been considering opening an eBay Store, now’s a great time!”
