Ecwid Rewards Developers for Referring Merchants

Ecwid launched a new program for developers that includes an affiliate revenue component. Developers who refer paying customers to Ecwid will receive lifetime commissions in addition to premium support and expanded services. Web developers, sitebuilders, small hosters, marketing agencies and other technology consultants will receive a 20 percent lifetime revenue share for paying customers they refer to Ecwid

The new Ecwid WebPartner Program also provides developers with exclusive resources including early Beta previews, a members-only forum with priority support, exposure in Ecwid’s partner directory, and special marketing opportunities to Ecwid’s existing merchants.

Ecwid’s cloud-based ecommerce platform for small businesses is used by over 400,000 retailers in 175 countries and is available directly and through a network of partners. A free plan is available, and it also offers a Facebook store-builder app with over 40,000 Facebook stores globally.

“Thousands of web developers around the world already are familiar with Ecwid’s ease of use and robust feature set, and typically are our best source of referrals,” says Jim O’Hara, president of Ecwid, Inc. “We are happy to recognize this community with a generous revenue share and special resources to help them extend their customer base, especially as operating multiple storefronts becomes the standard for online retailers.”

As the trend in distributed commerce (one merchant selling across multiple online storefronts) accelerates, many Ecwid merchants operate stores on websites, mobile, social media and other online venues, all managed from a single control panel.
