eBay Runs Free Listing Promotion for All Sellers for Valentine’s Day

eBay is running a promotion in which sellers can list up to 5,000 listings and pay no insertion fees. The promotion is unusual in that it is offered to all sellers rather than the typical invitation-only promotion usually seen these days.

The promotion runs from January 24 – 29, 2014, in order to take advantage of Valentine’s Day shoppers and includes all formats – auction, auction with Buy It Now, and fixed-price listings.

As far as durations, eBay is including 3, 5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing durations in the promotion, and it specifically said it would waive the additional fee for adding 10-day durations, but additional optional feature fees apply.

The Promotion is activated with sellers’ qualifying eBay user ID. Sellers will automatically receive the promotional rate when they list items auction-style, auction-style with Buy It Now, or fixed price through the Sell Your Item form, eBay Seller Tools, eBay Mobile applications, and most third-party tools.

Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards are eligible. All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may exclude sellers from creating the maximum number of listings.

eBay noted: “For sellers listing with any tool other than the latest version of the Sell Your Item form (SYI 3.0), the Promotional Rate will not be shown during the listing process. Instead, the discount will be reflected in the “View Account Status” section in My eBay, as well as in your next invoice.”

All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
