eBay UK Runs Free Listing Day Promotion

eBay UK is running an invitation-only Free Listing Day promotion in which sellers can list up to 100 auction listings and pay no insertion fee. In a slight twist, however, only listings with a duration of 10 days qualify – and listings using the auction-style with Buy it now format will be charged the BIN upgrade fee.

The sale is also restricted to private (casual) sellers who are registered on eBay.co.uk. Participation is linked to sellers’ accounts and is not transferable, and sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.

The promotion is a one-day sale that takes place on Thursday, January 23rd.

Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards are eligible. If you registered after March 15, 2011 or haven’t listed any items for a while, you may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of 650 pounds per month, whichever is reached first.

All other fees apply, see eBay UK website for details and restrictions, and note that eBay is also running a listing promotion for business sellers through January 24, 2014, you can read about that invitation-only promotion on the EcommerceBytes website.
