Walmart Kicks off Member Sale a Month before Amazon Prime Day

Walmart isn’t waiting until July to hold its annual sale for members of its Walmart Plus program. Walmart+ Week will kick off on Monday (June 17, 2024). That is a month before Amazon kicks off its Amazon Prime Day event – it confirmed it would be held in July this year, but it kept mum on the actual dates.

Walmart will offer “seven days of incredible offers and savings exclusively for Walmart+ members, featuring fantastic deals on gas, travel and more.” On June 20th, Walmart will introduce a “mystery offer” for the first time.

Among the other promotions, Walmart will give members three free months of Walmart+ InHome (“ensuring the items you want most can be conveniently dropped off right on your kitchen counter”) and exclusive access to new and unique items for members only.

Like Amazon Prime Day, Walmart runs the sale to reward members and entice non-members to join.

Last year, Walmart+ Week ran from July 10 through the 13 while Amazon Prime Day was July 11 and 12th.

Details of this year’s Walmart+ Week are on the Walmart website.
