Etsy to Kick Off Seller-Sponsored, 2-Week Holiday Sale

Etsy is promoting a holiday sale that kicks off next Wednesday, November 20, though it’s not subsidizing the discounts – sellers must put items on sale in order to have their listings promoted as part of the Etsy sale.

The Cyber Savings Spectacular sale will offer thousands of items up to 60% off, “allowing you to save big while supporting small businesses with real people behind them.”

Shoppers with the Etsy App will get exclusive early access to the sale on November 18th. Etsy created the following URL to promote sale listings beginning November 20th: etsy.com/featured/hub/cyber-week-sales (it currently redirects to the Editor’s Picks page).

In announcing the sale, Etsy promoted its Delivery Date Guarantee: “Need your Cyber Savings find by a certain date? We understand that finding the ultimate gift means nothing if it doesn’t arrive on time, so as part of Etsy’s Delivery Date Guarantee, we’re ensuring that shoppers will get their gifts on time or they’ll get their money back (on qualifying orders).”

Etsy said the sale will end at the end of the day on December 3rd, details are on the Etsy blog. Here’s a look back at what Etsy was doing to promote listings this time last year.
