eBay is running a seller promotion that lets sellers list up to 5,000 listings and pay no insertion fees. Some sellers have also received invitation-only versions of the promotion, including one with a special shipping bonus. The promotion kicked off on July 25 and ends on July 25, 2014.
The “Have Fun and Make Cash” promotion is open to all sellers and lets them create listings in the auction-style format, auction-style with Buy It Now format, or fixed price format. However, certain categories may not be listed in the fixed-price format for purposes of the promotion: Antiques (20081), Art (550), Baby (2984), Clothing, Shoes & Accessories (11450), Coins & Paper Money (11116), Collectibles (1), Dolls & Bears (237), Entertainment Memorabilia (45100), Health & Beauty (26395), Jewelry & Watches (281), Pottery & Glass (870), Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop (64482), Stamps (260), and Toys & Hobbies (220).
The promotion excludes 1-day and 3-day listing durations, but there are no additional fees for adding 10-day Duration to eligible listings.
A version of the promotion that goes to invited sellers only offers them one USPS ship-cost reimbursement. That offer runs from July 25 through August 7th, and invited sellers must activate the offer.
All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may prevent sellers from creating the maximum number of listings. All other fees apply, see eBay website (and invitations) for details and restrictions.
