Selling wholesale isn’t for everyone, but for those who have the capacity to make products in volume and the margin to sell to retailers at wholesale prices, the idea of seeing your products on retail shelves is tempting, and Etsy would like to encourage you.
The marketplace is launching a new wholesale program and is also kicking off an educational program for its sellers.
Etsy’s “Getting Started with Wholesale” is a new email course which kicks off on January 19th. Sellers who sign up will receive 8 emails over 4 weeks with tips, advice and best practices from seasoned sellers and retailers. Participants will have access to a dedicated Facebook group to share questions and ideas with other sellers enrolled in the course.
Etsy also announced Mini Open Call, a new program to pitch products to a different retailer each month, for a chance to be chosen for a purchase order. You must be an approved Etsy Wholesale seller to make your pitch.
You can find more information about Etsy Wholesale here and about its new programs in this announcement.
