Amazon is running a seller promotion that shows it’s hungry for new products to add to its marketplace. Through the end of September, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is offering to waive monthly storage and removal fees on new ASINs so qualified sellers can test new products on Amazon.com. (ASINs are Amazon’s version of a UPC code that identify items.)
The 6-month promotion gives sellers time to test products before the next holiday shopping season begins.
Amazon ran a similar promotion last year when it offered FBA sellers reimbursement for up to six months of long-term storage fees for new-to-Amazon ASINs in qualifying categories created between August 21, 2018, and November 30, 2018.
This year, eligible sellers who opt in to the promotion can take advantage of the fee waivers on up to 100 new-to-Amazon ASINs that they create during the promotional period.
Amazon FBA will waive monthly storage fees for the first 50 units of each eligible new ASIN received at fulfillment centers from March 18, 2019, through September 30, 2019. Sellers can remove any of those initial units from July 1, 2019, through September 30, 2019, with no FBA removal fees.
