eBay is running a seller promotion to attract gift-worthy items to appeal to holiday shoppers. The promotion lets sellers list up to 1,000 listings and receive a 30% discount on final value fees, but there are a few catches.
First, the promotion is by invitation only. Second, only a few categories are included. Third, sellers must activate the promotion. And fourth, sellers must pay insertion fees, so the promotion is not without risk.
Qualifying listings are limited to the following categories:
– Collectibles (1)
– Sports Memorabilia, Cards & Fan Shop (64482)
– Art (550)
– Coins & Paper Money > Coins: World (256)
– Coins & Paper Money > Coins: US (253)
eBay heavily promotes commodity goods such as fashion, electronics, and home & garden categories, so it’s interesting to see it solicit sellers for items in more traditional eBay categories.
The promotion kicked off on Tuesday (November 27, 2018) and ends on December 10, 2018.
Be sure to read full details and restrictions if you’re invited to participate.
It has to be directed at much larger stores premier to anchor. Most small business couldn’t get that many items listing in that amount of time.1000 listing + 12000 photo’s. It would take me a year……lol.
