Last year, Walmart ran its “Walmart Plus Week” sale in July, overlapping Amazon Prime Day. This year, Walmart Plus Week was held in June, but it will run another sale called “Walmart Deals” in July – a week before Prime Day – and it will be open to all Walmart customers, not just members of its Plus membership program.
Walmart Deals kicks off on July 8 and runs through July 11. “Customers can shop thousands of deals on popular items from electronics, home, toys, travel and more – including must-have items heading into the back-to-school season. Walmart+ members will have early access to shop the hottest deals of the season beginning at noon ET – five hours before anyone else.”
Walmart made a point of noting that Walmart Deals shoppers have a choice of in-store pickup, delivery, and shipping options.
In an email to Walmart Plus members, Walmart stated in part, “Your Early Access is coming soon! Get ready to shop summer’s hottest deals 5 hours early as a Walmart+ member.”
