eBay Gives German Buyers Monthly Invoice Option

eBay is giving buyers in Germany the option of paying for all their purchases in a given month in a single invoice. On the first calendar day of the month, buyers receive an invoice for all purchases that can be paid within 14 days. There are no additional fees if the buyer pays on time, and eBay uses Riverty to power the embedded payment option.

Dr. Saskia Meier-Andrae, Managing Director of eBay Germany, was quoted in this week’s press release: “With the monthly invoice, we are offering our customers another way to tailor their online shopping experience to their wishes. We know that our buyers want an easy and fast solution for combining payments for multiple purchases. This is exactly what we are now making possible with the monthly invoice from Riverty.”

eBay didn’t specify whether there would be any delay to seller disbursements for such transactions. eBay is rolling out the new payment option now and will make it generally available in Germany by early 2025.
