eBay is running a seller promotion in the UK, and as is typical on that country site, it’s designed to encourage private (casual) sellers to list items. The current promotion is by invitation only, and sellers must activate the promotion before being eligible.
Invited sellers can create up to 100 auction or fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees. (Listings using the auction-style with Buy it now format will be charged only the listing upgrade fee.)
An EcommerceBytes reader said they welcomed the free listings, but added, “could do with some business account freebies” as well.
According to the invitation: “eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who have been invited to participate and have actively opted in to the promotion via the RSVP link shown in the marketing communication. Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable. Sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.”
The promotion kicked off on May 3rd and runs through May 5, 2015. All other fees apply, see your invitation for details and restrictions.
