eBay is running a free listing promotion that kicked off on August 14th and runs through August 20th. However, it’s an invitation-only promotion and is not transferrable.
Invited sellers can create up to 9,999 auction listings (and auctions with Buy It Now) and pay no insertion fee. Five-, 7-, and 10-day listing durations are included, and there’s no additional fee for adding 10-day duration to the listings.
In the email invitation, eBay included examples of items that recipients could sell along with their selling prices – a pocketbook that sold for $36, and headphones that sold for $63, with a footnote disclaimer explaining, “The average price is calculated on final sale prices for items sold in auction-style and fixed price formats in used condition over a 7-day period ending June 19, 2014. Shipping and handling costs not included in calculation. Because this is an average price, the actual price may vary. No representation is made that any item will sell at a particular price.”
The email also linked to a page on the eBay website with additional examples of What’s hot on eBay.
With this latest promotion, all existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply. All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
