"A day after an order's promised handling time, you'll get an extra nudge to send it out. We'll send these reminders via email and notify you through the eBay app if you have it.
"Once you get your shipping label, you can manually add the tracking number to the order, or have it added automatically when you use eBay Labels.
"After that, you'll get two more notifications: one confirming the item has been shipped and is on its way to the buyer, and another once it's been delivered."
eBay also said in the Seller Update announcement that it had begun providing
personalized pricing recommendations in the eBay app "helping you boost visibility, make smarter pricing decisions, and manage your business more effectively." While sellers can "snooze" the optional recommendations for a few days, there's no option to turn them off permanently, as eBay believes "they offer valuable insights to help you sell faster."
It won't end with pricing recommendations - eBay said it was also working on adding other personalized recommendations in the coming months.
eBay reminded sellers of a
new protection policy it had announced at its summer eBay Open conference. "Previously, if we approved a buyer's INR claim, you would have to refund the money and would be out of a product. Now, if you use eBay labels and ship your items on time, we'll reimburse you once we detect delivery." When eBay had announced the policy, sellers wanted to know why it wouldn't apply to all items where sellers had uploaded tracking, no matter which shipping service provided they used.
eBay also announced it has
launched a new verified rights portal (known as VeRO) and enhanced the program to help sellers avoid and report intellectual property violations. "Whether you're listing new items, resolving a removal, or just staying up to date on eBay's policies, understanding intellectual property (IP) is key for any seller. We've updated our Help and Seller Center pages with tools and tips to protect your business from potential violations, from using brand names correctly to the importance of only listing authentic products."
eBay also reminded sellers that its new used-fashion conditions had gone live and
advised sellers to check their listings. "If you didn't update the condition on your current pre-loved fashion listings before August 18, your listings will automatically be set to "Pre-owned: Good".
eBay told sellers that if a buyer wants to return a used fashion item because the condition wasn't as expected, eBay would offer temporary protections for "Item not as described" return requests. "This helps avoid a change in your service metric rating to "Very High." Please continue to handle any returns to avoid a "case closed without seller resolution" label."
