An Etsy Seller Feels Tricked into Accepting Offers

By: Reader

Dear Ina,
All but three of my listings are correctly accepting offers. Whenever I edit an existing listing or draft, I turn off accepting offers and save my changes. Every time I edit those listings, accepting offers is turned back ON.

When I'm doing a lot of drafts at once, I sometimes forget to do this. I think Etsy is doing this on purpose to trick sellers into accepting offers. It is NOT a new problem.

eBay is famous for making changes to the listing form when you edit it, such as adding services you don't want.

That is why I used third party software to edit listings and for listings. Its also faster and more secure.
