WYSIWYG Help
For all the features in the WYSIWYG Editor, you will need to HIGHLIGHT the word or
words before you change color, add a link, etc.
Type in all your text before changing the font style.
Highlight all the text, then select the font.
If you can not get your curser to move in the editor
where you want it, use your arrow keys on the keyboard
to move the curser.
Remove Formating from Copied Pages
In the WYSIWYG editor sometimes the formating is not
exactly what you want.
If you copy text from a web page, you not only copy the
text but also any HTML formating that is on that page.
To get rid of the formating, copy the text from the web
page, Click the 'Paste Text'
icon.
Then paste the text in that box to remove formatting.
To paste from word, Click the 'Paste from Word'
icon.
To add a link.
1. Type the words for the link.
2. Highlight the words with your mouse.
3. Click the 'add link'
icon.
4. Type the full URL to the page in the URL field.
http://www.rlaj.com
5. Click ok and the link is added.
Note: if your words have a single quote (') in them
the text will not be in the add link box.
Just type in the words again in the box.
Using Tables:
Tables can be a little tricky in this editor.
NEVER make the table full screen width to start with.
The table cells are always the same size to start
with.
Always add a space in the wizard before you add a
table. This gives you the ability to get on the
left side of the table with your curser.
To change the size of a cell:
Start with entering the text or image etc. to the
left cell. Then grab the small box on the right of
the table and move the box to the left. This will
resize the table. Don't worry about the size of the
right column, it will expand as you enter text or
images.
To change the cell background color:
BEFORE you add anything to the table,
Put your mouse in the cell on the far
left, then click and drag right until
the single space in the cell is highlighted.
Then Click the BackGround Color icon
and
select the color.
To remove a table:
Look for a very small box in the table with an 'x'
in the box, click that to remove a row or entire
table. Table must be empty to remove it.
The Table defaults to a border of 1. It is easier
to see the table in the wizard if you leave it at 1.
To remove the border, "Switch to HTML Mode" and set the
border=1 to border=0 to remove the border,
after you have put your data in the table.
To enter HTML code:
Click the box at the bottom of the screen
"Switch to HTML Mode" paste the HTML code in.
if you are entering HTML, do not use comments.
