Google Wallet is highly recommended by online sellers who use the payment service, but its adoption rate is much lower than PayPal among respondents of the second annual EcommerceBytes Sellers Choice Awards survey.
PayPal was used by 98% of respondents, not surprising given that that eBay, Etsy and other online marketplaces integrate with PayPal along with the fact that eBay forces most sellers to accept its online payment service.
Other forms of payment were also popular: 67% of sellers said they accepted paper payments (checks, money orders and/or postal money orders; 56% said they accepted cash; and 26% said they accepted credit cards. Only 2.1% said they accepted a mobile payment service.
