The ArtFire online marketplace has launched a new homepage and is exiting beta this week, and is also running a special promotion to increase the number of paying merchants. ArtFire is offering its Pro plan for artisan merchants at a special rate - but the promotion is only good if a minimum number of merchants sign up, a promotion similar to group deals from sites such as Groupon.com. The ArtFire Group Deal promotion allows merchants to sign up for its Pro plan for $5.95 per month, normally priced at $15.95 per month; 20,000 member must sign up in order for the rate to go into affect, and ArtFire is limiting the special rate to 50,000 members.

ArtFire is also giving away prizes, including a Canon Digital SLR Camera and five iPads, to help spread the word about the ArtFire Group Deal and its official exit from beta.

As of Sunday, 4,000 merchants had signed up for the deal after a few days of internal promotion, according to ArtFire.
