iOffer came in sixteenth with an overall score of 3.6. Its highest marks were for Ease of Use (4.42) and its lowest marks were for Would Recommend This Site (3.14). Some respondents were satisfied with listing there, but there were many complaints. "People often don't pay for what they've bought and it is very hard to remove the transaction, so you get charged fees for things you never get paid for," wrote one respondent.

Some respondents said the site had questionable items - "I don't want my items to be seen with what Ioffer has. Illegal medications, porn, fake coach bags, etc. Not the environment for a serious online seller." Another seller said, "People often don't pay for what they've bought and it is very hard to remove the transaction, so you get charged fees for things you never get paid for." But some sellers use it for things they are not allowed to list on eBay.

Reader Comments - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly:
Profits can be fair. Customer Service and communication is very good in the several times I had to contact them. Ease of use is where they loose me. Loading pictures to your listings takes FOREVER unfortunately. The listing process itself is not bad once you are used to it (just different). But, when you get to the pictures, pages will time out forcing you to your listing all over. I actually quit listing on iOffer several months ago after just getting fed up with the slow loading pages. Too bad to because I was having decent success on iOffer.
Ioffer is a growing marketplace and see them growing. Very reasonable rates I don't sell alot there but what I do sell Ioffer is only take a bare min amount.
I tried selling on Ioffer and sold a few items but not enough for me to list there again. The management always answered any questions fast.
Unfortunately, iOffer has a reputation of being a great place to sell knockoffs. For example, fake coach bags, bootleg CDs/movies, etc. I sell collectibles, mostly old magazine ADS. I sell quite a bit on iOffer and I like it. I have no complaints with iOffer.
The costs of selling at iOffer aren't bad, however, I don't think their exposure is so great. Traffic was minimal in my categories so it wasn't a very profitable option for me.
I actually have most of my non-Ebay sales thru Ioffer. Almost all of my sales there have been Google driven whereas most of my Bonanza sales have been self-directed.
Sales are slow but I like to list items on it you cannot sell on old German flags.
Its ok....I have more sales there than other sites other than ebay (for me anyways)...fees are rotten because they charge final fees on your final sale price PLUS shipping costs you charged....when selling international they really rake you on final fees due to the high cost of shipping...quite a few bogus item take downs finally caused me to quit (vintage cookbooks being taken down for copyright from new body toning companies, etc).
iOffer seems very easy to use, from both buyer and seller perspective, but on my first try using it I had difficulty with basic functions and finding help. It was tedious and time-consuming simply putting a first listing in. I have over a decade experience with ebay and sell on many other sites, so I don't think it's me. I had a very hard time getting a nice listing w/html formatting and photos uploaded directly to iOffer. In the end, the site duplicated my listing- one with no photos, one with photos, but I did not list the item twice. It was some kind of glitch. I don't see any customers there, and it seems hard to get help. I sent on message about the problem with that listing, never got a response. Also discouraging is that the listings automatically expire after 30 days if you don't log in. the cumulative effect of my experiences is that it looks like it has potential, but I will probably sell elsewhere next time.
Can never get customer service to check my supposed sold items, they mark it sold and the buyer never pays. hard to use customer service.
I don't like the fact that they list the date the item was listed. If you constantly replenish stock it looks like the same object is for sale for a long time.
Too many non-paying buyers, communication with customer service takes weeks.
Couldn't tell if buyers wanted a price or to make an offer. Seemed like people shied away from offers since I had some very interesting things for sale.
I don't use it now but they have so much fake designer jewelry that it seems to detract from our quality authentic line. People assume it's all fake, with fake stones etc. I used for a very short period 2 years ago and no longer use it..
The Mpayy service that they have running tandem has ruined their bookkeeping and proper payment/release of funds. More options of payments, does not equate to ease for sellers nor buyers.
Just getting an account set up is like getting Congress to do something meaningful.
Awash with pirated goods which are undermining the original and official items i am selling. No customer support and the site is so slow.
