"Black Friday" isn't just about waiting outside in the cold for bricks-and-mortar stores to open. Not content to wait for "Cyber Monday," many online marketplaces are doing their own special Black Friday promotions, and you can get in on some of the discount action even now, days ahead. Here's a rundown of who's doing what:

TIAS.com
The sales will be going on starting today and into Cyber Monday of next week, said Phil Davies, TIAS.com president. "There will be hourly updates of sales and special offer on our home page including discounts, free shipping, new inventory listings, coupons," he said. A complete list of all participating dealers and what they are offering can be viewed on the TIAS website.

RubyLane.com
Various RubyLane shops are holding their own "Black Friday" promotions; a search on "Black Friday" in the main RubyLane search box will yield various marked-down items, such as a pair of aquamarine earrings discounted from $45 to $39 at the JeweLyrie shop.

Bonanza.com
Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales information can be found at this Bonanza forum thread, where all the stores participating are listed.

"There is a special sale going on, similar to Christmas in July (meaning it was created/maintained by the community)," said "BonanzaMark," aka Mark Dorsey, Director of Happiness & Co-Founder of Bonanza.com.

"Bonanza has also added live chat for buyer support that is already proving very helpful for buyers," he said. They are also planning on adding sellers' coupons to the Bonanza home page to help buyers find that special gift, he added. And, they've added continuous scroll to all of the booth landing pages, which has increased page views for sellers' booths.

Etsy.com
Various Etsy shops will be offering specially discounted items, and you should be able to see which by checking for the tags "Black Friday Etsy" and "Cyber Monday Etsy" in listings. Items with those tags will be eligible for promotion for the whole Black Friday - Cyber Monday weekend (11/23-11/26). Etsy also created a Holiday link to its home page. Check this thread on Etsy for more information.

eBay.com
Many eBay sellers will be holding Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotions. You can see some of the highlighted ones at eBay Deals' Black Friday Deals page.

Amazon.com
Amazon is boldly highlighting its holiday specials starting already with Black Friday Deals Week ("Why wait? The deals start today."). In a press release Monday, Amazon announced "Black Friday Lightning Deals" on everything from electronics to the "most anticipated toys" running through November 24. Ben Hartman, Vice President of Consumer Electronics for Amazon.com, said, "We're offering customers our widest selection of Black Friday Lightning Deals ever and we're bringing doorbuster deals to shoppers earlier this year."

Amazon customers can also subscribe to get daily deals emails ("Receive daily updates from the Amazon.com Gold Box, including the Deal of the Day and other new deals.").
