eBay Analytics Tool Sold to InkFrog

InkFrog has acquired an eBay analytics tool from AuctionHawk called Sellebrity Analytics that helps sellers view and analyze their traffic so they can optimize their listings and promotions.

InkFrog.com founder and CEO Greg Sisung said the company will embed Sellebrity directly into its platform and would continue to offer it as a standalone product and through eBay open apps.

Sellebrity is a full analytics suite that allows eBay sellers to find local and regional traffic trends. No functionality has changed from when it was owned by Auction Hawk, according to Sisung, though he plans to add better support.

The software allows users to view their traffic in real time, which is unique and allows sellers to monitor and view traffic/visitor trends over a 180 day period. It also allows sellers to see which countries and states their visitors are coming from, which can help in making decisions for their listings as well as where to sell. Sellers can also create traffic alerts and campaigns and can track their visitors to a specific sale.

"One of the "funnest" features is the ability to actually see your visitors on a map in real time," Sisung said, meaning that sellers "can actually see who is on your listing at any given moment and in what state/country. This is really great for auction format listings where you can see if people are on your listings in the last minutes."

Sellebrity.com charges eBay sellers $3.99/month for use of the tool. Sisung said the company has no plans to raise prices, and would most likely offer different pricing for InkFrog users than compared to non-users once it's integrated into the InkFrog system.

eBay sellers can begin using Sellebrity by visiting the eBay Open Applications market (Search for Sellebrity) or by visiting Sellebrity.com.

InkFrog has been providing selling management tools to eBay sellers since 1999 and is an eBay Certified Solutions Provider; it powers a $1 billion in GMV per year. The deal closed August 29th, terms were not disclosed.
