WorthPoint Launches UK Site for Collectors
By Ina Steiner
WorthPoint has launched a sister site in the UK, WorthPoint.co.uk, the first of several international sites the company will launch. The United Kingdom version of WorthPoint features local content from resident experts, event information and How To guides.
The company said the launch represented the first key step in realizing WorthPoint's strategic goal of becoming a truly global resource for all types of collectors, from professionals to hobbyists. Later this year and throughout 2012, WorthPoint will launch similar sites in Canada, Australia, Germany and France.
Maria Archer is CEO of WorthPoint Europe and heads up a local team of expert "Worthologists." More information about the team in Europe is available on this page.
WorthPoint.com was founded in the United States in 2007 by Will Seippel, and the "Worthopedia" library of information on collectibles now includes a wealth of knowledge on prices, descriptions, pictures and sales dates of over 100 million items sold at UK auction houses. Worthpoint also owns the online antiques marketplace GoAntiques.
