MyStoreCredit Picks Up Awards, Discusses Challenges of eBay Developers
By Ina Steiner
AuctionBytes conducted a podcast interview with Brian Lawe, founder of OnPagePromotions (formerly MyStoreCredit), at the recent PayPal Developers Conference in San Francisco. Brian explained how his company's tools help eBay sellers drive more sales through online promotions, including MyStoreRewards, MyStoreMaps, and a new tool, CashBack Maps. He then discussed the challenges of being an eBay developer.
eBay application providers have to be incredibly efficient due to the brutal economics eBay sellers face, he said. "If you ask them to be paying anything, you have got to be providing them with outstanding service, an outstanding tool with a clear value proposition to them." Brian also said eBay and PayPal developers could benefit from a program that makes sellers aware of tools similar to Apple iTunes, where Apple drives traffic to third-party developer applications.
OnPagePromotions picked up two awards at the PayPal Developers Conference. MyStoreRewards won the eBay Developer Network X Award, and CashBack Map won the PayPal Cross-border Commerce X Award.
