eBay to Hold Analyst Day in September
By Ina Steiner
eBay sent an email to Wall Street analysts on Thursday announcing its next scheduled Analyst Day would take place on September 21, 2010, in San Jose, California.
eBay held its last Analyst Day in March 2009, when it revealed it had decided to go after "Secondary Markets" for its marketplace business as part of a three-year turnaround strategy. In a conference call with analysts this month, CEO John Donahoe used a new term when discussing the Marketplaces business: "off price merchandise."
eBay usually has top executives give slide presentations during Analyst Days that give more information about the company's direction, focusing on the PayPal and Marketplaces businesses. AuctionBytes covered eBay's 2009 Analyst Day in this report.
Update: eBay changed the date of its 2011 analyst day to February 10, 2011.
