Etailers, eBay Sellers Can Now Sell Warrantech Warranties

Warranty Feed announced a partnership in which Warrantech will underwrite its warranty dealer program for ecommerce and eBay merchants. A spokesperson said the company is now able to offer warranties across a wide range of both new and refurbished products, in many instances in categories where no one else is currently doing that (such as jewelry and musical instruments).

Merchants who are members of Warranty Feed will now enjoy access to the web's largest catalog of new and refurbished warranty-eligible products, as well as receiving 30 percent commissions paid the same day a warranty is sold. By teaming up with Warrantech, Warranty Feed merchants can expect to see higher sell-through rates for their warranties, according to the company.

Warranty Feed is a joint venture of ReliaBid and Warranty Feed LLC. The Warranty Feed eBay solution is one of a suite of services offered by ReliaBid that encompasses fraud protection, payment recovery, buyer assurance and extended warranties, in addition to a peer-to-peer payment security solution. Warranty Feed is currently available to merchants on eBay, as well as leading shopping cart solutions including AgoraCart, Cube Cart, osCommerce, VirtueMart and ZenCart.

Warranty Feed members will automatically become authorized dealers of Warrantech's RepairMaster warranties this month. The company said it encompasses the same warranty products offered by J&R Music, Pep Boys, Micro Center and many other leading companies.
