Provider of eBay CallActivator Services Raises $1 Million
By Ina Steiner
ThinkingVoice raised $1 million last week to launch its new Pay-Per-Phone-Lead service, which drives qualified online-shopping leads by phone to advertisers and merchants. ThinkingVoice offers eBay sellers a way to connect with shoppers via telephone and allows merchants to embed "Click-To-Call" links in eBay auction listings, emails, online business cards, websites and even in Google Adword ads (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/y204/m04/abu0117/s03).
ThinkingVoice will now roll out the Pay-Per-Phone-Lead Network (http://www.thinkingvoice.com/ppl), currently in beta, in what it calls a breakthrough service designed to create, access, and monetize a new category of search and online advertising. Sellers can receive leads by phone for any item or service they are selling online; there is no listing fee and sellers pay a flat fee for every phone call they receive - with the first 10 calls provided for free.
ThinkingVoice says 2,500 merchants and marketers are currently using its VoIP communications platform. The new funding, where Mark Cuban was the lead investor, closes the Company's Series A funding.
