Tony Ford Discusses ArtFire News and Growth Strategies

Tue Feb 22 2011 00:11:05
ArtFire has increased its development team and is looking at vintage, international and mobile for long-term growth, according to Tony Ford, ArtFire's Executive Vice President and COO. But the company is not looking to expand into commodity-good categories. Ford joined AuctionBytes Editor Ina Steiner this week to catch up on recent developments at ArtFire and how they will impact sellers. He provides details about the ramp-up of its development team and new enhancements, including the addition of Propay online payments to the Artfire checkout. Explaining that a subscription model provides benefits that insertion- and commission-fee models do not, Ford said it allows ArtFire to actively encourage its sellers to link to their blogs, Facebook and even Etsy shops.
