Urgent: Where Did eBay Put Store Categories?

By: Reader

Sponsored Link

Dear Ina,
Can anyone tell me where to find my eBay Store's categories since the last "fix/change"?

Always changing instead of fixing. Now, I have to scroll through 600 listings to find the one I want, because "categories" is nowhere to be found.
Thanks.
Nana

Sorry you're experiencing this.  On my store, everything looks normal (categories are still there).  I think this is the only recent "glitch of the day" that I've been immune to!

Categories show up on my store page, too, and I just converted over to the ''new experience'' a week or so ago.

As a temporary workaround while eBay ''tries'' to fix your issue, I would suggest looking up specific items on your Active Listings page.  It always defaults to the Item Title.  Type a keyword in, hit Search, and anything matching will appear.  Same a searching your store.

Mine is fine too.  I hope Ebay gets your problem fixed very soon.  I assume you have reported the problem to them!

One thing you might try is pasting this url into your browser:

www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active

One of the drop-downs should show ''All categories'' - within that drop-down you hopefully will be able to select your ''store categories'' radio-button to filter the selected store category in your active listings.

Another thing that could have happened is that your items are for some reason no longer assigned to store categories, like it got purged out.

If you have a store with store categories, and no items are assigned to store categories, the list of categories will not show up.  Only populated categories are shown, as opposed to all categories being shown, some with zero quantity.  That's an aspect of the system.

I'd check individual listing fields to see that they have a category assigned.  If not, it can be done in bulk through Active Listings.

Nothing has changed...go to "manage store" and "store categories"  it will show your categories with the number of listings.  Click on the number to see the listings in each category.

If you're meaning eBay's preset categories (different than the store categories you set yourself), you can find those changes at the link below. There were a lot of sub-categories that got consolidated this go around in favor of using item specifics rather than categories to narrow those searches.
