By: Reader

Dear Ina,
There's a problem with eBay - ongoing. Customer Service Rep confirms reports from all over. Buyers getting "Seller does not ship to your location" notice when trying to purchase.

I have gotten EIGHT emails from buyers with this problem., eBay CS says for buyer to contact eBay and they will take info so that buyer can purchase.

REALLY?! I am not kidding. This has been happening on and off for three weeks.

I am curious as to whether or not eBay's Board of Directors ever come to Ecommercebytes, read, and do some critical thinking.

If so, why don't they do something about the technical ineptitude of eBay.

Rex - as long as they continue to get big bonus's and unlimited perks (courtesy of its sellers), eBay execs could care less what anyone does.

The team of lawyers puts out "greatly enhanced" 10k statements for Wall Street, who in turn keep saying BUY (people like seekingalpha).

There was a political comment about someone who ran in the past election (irrelevant who it was) - but when asked about his past behaviors said "I dont care if he ate dead burnt babies on the front lawn - I'll vote for him just so long as the other guy doesnt win". THAT philosophy is how eBay works when it comes to their execs. They dont care what happens - as long as the perks continue. As long as the positive press continues, as long as they sell off parts of the company and get $$ from it - NOTHING matters.

To them - its "WHAT" ineptitude?

MP is working and doing EVERYTHING its supposed to do. It steals money from sellers in various ways 24/7 - hiding ANY issues and mistakes. It let eBay go from giving sellers 30 days to pay bills to ZERO days (COD) - did anyone say anything? NO. MP lets eBay hold funds for 2-3 days and keep the interest, did anyone say anything? NO. MP let eBay have %100 control over a sellers account, did anyone say anything? NO.

And you are concerned about a tech glitch that they will never feel/understand?

eBay is virtually UNTOUCHABLE - they laugh when Amazon gets bad press (worker unionization, worker mistreatment, poor performance (as if it ever happens), cause eBay never gets bad press (national).

eBay conspired with the city of San Jose to steal tax money from other CA jurisdictions and no one said ONE WORD.

No - no eBay exec cares to come here, to read anything, to listen or to care - and why should they? we are just noise and theres nothing a seller can do - its adapt or leave ..... and most have no where else to go (and they know that).

This is probably something different, but since it's related to shipping, here goes!

I just bought a shipping label on eBay. The item sold yesterday and I have until 11:59pm TOMORROW night to ship it. eBay was only showing me FedEx Home Delivery as a label option, although I could see that the carrier had chosen USPS First Class (it was greyed out). I clicked the various carrier tabs but couldn't get USPS. I ended up clicking the link to go back to my orders and then clicked the ''buy shipping label'' link again and it worked the 2nd time.
