What Is eBay's UPS Label Fee, Seller Asks

By: Reader

Dear Ina,
eBay recently added UPS to the list of shipping options via labels. I sent an item last month via UPS labels on eBay and found on my invoice a "$1 UPS label fee". This is in addition to the label cost found in my invoice.

I talked to eBay today about another matter and also asked about this fee. He wasn't aware of it and said he would look into it.

Everyone's QUICK in blaming eBay for others doings. . . .

From the UPS website: Electronic Label: US$1.00 per label. Print and Mail Label: US$2.25 per label. 1 UPS Pickup Attempt: US$5.00 per shipment / MX$45 per domestic shipment.

I use NetParcel through PayPal. I can choose which carrier and generally pick UPS because it is the lowest. No $1 fee, and cheapest rates and fastest deliver times I've ever had.

eBay is supposed to be negotiating better rates on behalf of it's sellers, not just passing fees on as usual.
