I have an eBay store with 1,000 listings per month for $60. I usually have around 1,500 or so titles listed per month, at 200 per page - this means around 9 pages in my Active Listings section in Seller Hub.
Today I now have 6 times that many listings showing in Active Listings, in multiple languages and currencies. This runs to 52 pages...not only that, but I can no longer sort them by Date, they are just one big muddle, even doing it by Alpha Item it is still a mess.
I notice when something sells off another site (Amazon usually, our Amazon sales are about 8 for every eBay one these days, used to be the complete reverse) and I close it on eBay now, I end up with 6 different language versions of the same listing in Closed Listings to delete out!
I'm waiting to hear back from WebInterpret as to my request to get me out of this mad scheme. We have one copy of most items we list, and now we're at risk of selling 6 of the 'same' item on multiple platforms at the same time.
As for opting someone into a scheme when all they did was click on view more details, I can't believe they have been allowed to do this - also - why is eBay not responding to you about it? Is this going to be another cat and mouse each blame the other with sellers as piggy-in-the-middle issue?
I'll keep watching your site daily for more information.
Do you think this is a desperate attempt to pretend that they have 6 times or more the actual listings on eBay than they have in reality? So they can say they have user growth next quarter?
