Dear Ina,
Well, this is a new one.  I went to list a mystery box in Everything Else (because everybody else is selling mystery boxes) and saw this selling option:

Another way to squeeze money out of sellers?

From the editor: Note that classifieds format itself isn't new, but it appears eBay has made a change to the listing flow - anyone else seeing a change?

I just relisted an item and I wasn't offered a "Classified Ad" option on my listing.

I guess I haven't been opted into the program. . .

I went to eBay's informational site about the Classifieds. It's $9.95 for 30 days. They also can put third-party ads and ads for merchandise from other eBay sellers on your listing. Plus they state that they can't guarantee that your listing will be seen for the full 30 days, but that you will pay the full insertion fee no matter how long your listing is shown. Looks like another money grab by eBay.

Classic eBay speak.  We'll take your money but we make no guarantees that the service that you pay for will be given.

Can you imagine if sellers told their buyers "you can pay, but you may not get your whole product"?
