eBay Seller Suggests Fix for Multi-Order Tracking Problem
This is in regards to a recent letter
, "eBay Stymies Tracking on Multi-Order Shipments". I was surprised to read that many sellers appear to be unaware that there IS a way on eBay to combine orders that were paid for separately by the same buyer using the same PayPal account. A way that gives you one shipping label and that automatically attaches the tracking number to every item in the order. I've been using this method for years and it DOES work.
Again, this is for orders that are bought and paid for SEPARATELY.
For instance, say a buyer purchases an item from me, pays for it, then comes back an hour later and buys another item, pays for that, then comes back 2 hours later and purchases a 3rd item and pays for that. I now have 3 orders from the same buyer (using the same PayPal account), but all paid for individually.
At this point, all I have to do to is use eBay's "Bulk Shipping Feature". By using that, I'm able to combine the purchases into one shipment and have the tracking number attached to all 3 purchases.
There are detailed instructions on how to use/access the Bulk Shipping Feature at this url
