Amazon Helps Chinese Sellers with Bilingual Contact Forms

Dear Ina,
Just another little tidbit about China-Zon I noticed for the first time today.

Inspired by the purge of Chinese seller names yesterday, I thought I would resume reporting some names, especially since one name I found contains light profanity: (redacted) - really??

Well, that wasn't the most shocking thing. What was shocking was to see the new "bilingual" language option drop-down box in the "contact seller help" webform. The choices were English or CHINESE CHARACTERS! Seriously?

Maybe I should have selected Chinese and my complaint might be expedited?

Wow. Just wow.

While it would be impossible to prove, chances are quite good that the Chinese government is paying Amazon to ''open'' up its platform for Chinese sellers.

Whether it's money or some other incentive, whatever it is, it's enough that Amazon lets Chinese sellers get away with whatever they want to (including calling CZ's diamonds which would get any US seller suspended). They don't even seem to care about the impact that poor service and poor quality have on their catalog or customers!

Go Figure!
