eBay Fails to Account for Holiday in Rating Shipping Performance
I am a TRS Plus seller and must ship my eBay sold items within one day of payment. I had four sales over the Memorial Day weekend and didn't ship them until Tuesday, May 31 because the post office was closed on Monday, May 30 for the holiday.
All of the packages received acceptance scans from my post office on May 31 which was within eBay guidelines for shipping.
Today I noticed I have four defects for late shipping on those four items. It seems that eBay didn't know the post office is closed on Memorial Day. When I contacted eBay I was told that the system hasn't updated and if the defects are still there on June 15 "they'll take a look."
Really? What kind of customer service is that? It's their glitch, but I need to follow-up to make sure they fix their mistake and if they don't I will end up wasting an hour or so of my life on the phone with eBay customer service trying to explain the problem and hoping they fix it.
It was eBay that made defects so important for sellers, but despite that they can't seem to successfully manage the program.
