Dear Ina,
We sell "Seller Refurbished" vacuum cleaners, we are Top Rated have excellent feedback are also main dealers for new items of this product and are professional business sellers with over 6,800 feedback. All our products are fully stripped, cleaned and repaired with the correct internal parts and are warranted for 12 months.
Today a buyer was enquiring about an item and I noticed it had received a 2 star rating review so looked it up, the attached is the review. On closer inspection - and in tiny pale grey writing - at the bottom was another seller's user ID!
I looked up their user ID and saw they were selling these items 15 pounds cheaper than us, with only a 30 day warranty and just over 300 feedback.
Although this is shown as a link at the top of my listing, if you page down the full review is shown! Basically, another seller's shoddy work and lack of warranty has instigated this review and it's been attached to our product.
I called eBay CS which was a complete waste of time and was advised that there is no way to get this removed over the phone and that all reviews for a type of product are added to the same item.
I explained that as these items are refurbished standards can be very different and by adding this review to our product, it would give the impression we sold it and now it doesn't work. The eBay CS said that there was nothing he could do, my only option was to report the review.
I did report the review via a little link and it was then unattached to some of the listings but not all of them.
I believe this will affect my sales on these items as there is no way to protect myself against this and yet I have done nothing wrong!
Kind Regards,
Denise
