eBay Makes Saved Search Emails Less Appealing

Dear Ina,
I noticed something odd yesterday. The emails I now get with my saved search results have much smaller thumbnail pics than they did previously.

I had one in my inbox I had saved from the 11th, and compared it to one from the 12th. The thumbnail from the 12th is MUCH smaller.

It makes it hard to see, even on my large desktop monitor, and is equally smaller when viewed on my phone.

This would not encourage me to click on the image to see the item on the listing page, it encourages me to pass it by!

Why is this sort of thing done? Are these designers not thinking?

I have encountered so many weird things in E bay over my 20+ years in the virtual world that I can only compare it to the Federal govt. where one hand does not know what the  other hand is doing.
If you want real frustration talk to the folks in Manila, nice people but have no clue!
an worse they can't refer you back to the states.

I use a laptop exclusively and apprciate the new thumbnail pics. I get so many eBay searches and I used to have to scroll down on each and every email to view the results. Now it is in one tiny place. But I can see how that might not work for mobile users.

They broke the e-mail part of my saved searches long ago but it's moot.  I use a text mail client because I don't need to be assaulted by obnoxious ads and runaway scripting.  It's possible to send text, HTML, and RTF views in the same e-mail but eBay doesn't know how to so all I get is tag soup.

I also had a strange ''saved search'' email a couple days ago, but my most recent ones, which came in early this  morning sometime, were back to normal. I hope it was just a fluke and yours are back to normal now too!
