Seller Let Down by eBay's Promised Multi-channel Syncing
I was very excited to hear that InkFrog would be able to "synchronize their product listings on eBay with two off-eBay ecommerce platforms." (See Newsflash article about the partnership.)
So what is true to this date is that I am able to put all 15k listings into InkFrog but cannot upload them from InkFrog to Shopify, nor is there a way to sync from Shopify across to eBay to remove items that have been sold.
"Sellers will be able to sync inventory updates across shopping carts and the eBay platform" - this line is materially not true!
Shipping setup on Shopify is difficult.
From what I see so far is that Shopify and BigCommerce will only sync with your own personal website and will not remove inventory from eBay.
I do not see "embraces that multi-channel environment, and offers more friction-less ways for you to run a scalable."
The goal is to be able to list items in one place and list on multiple platforms that make sense for sales, and to have inventory removed from all sites as an item is sold. If not, you need to have a person pulling down inventory every time you sell something.
There is a huge difference between integration and synchronization.
I can use the Shopify app to upload from eBay but this is meant to be a "1 time app." What good is that?? You cannot list in InkFrog and link to Shopify.
