eBay Snubs Longtime Seller When It Comes to Promotions
There seems to be a few UK business sellers who do not get invited to these promos
. The last one I was invited must have been over a year ago. There have been about half a dozen of these since then, none of which I was invited to participate in.
On the eBay discussion forums there are a few other sellers in the same position. It seems to mainly affect long term sellers.
I have contacted eBay about it several times. They assure me that my account is eligible, and say it's a random process, and I'm just "unlucky". However, one person at customer service did let slip something about "targeting specific groups".
I've had my eBay account for over 15 years and it is in good standing.
Private sellers (many of whom are business sellers not declaring, but that's another matter than needs investigating) get endless free listing offers, and now most business sellers are also getting free listings. It's really dispiriting having to pay fees when most other sellers are getting free listings.
Perhaps this needs more investigation.
It does feel like eBay are excluding a certain group of long standing sellers deliberately, but won't admit it.
