Yahoo Transition to Aabaco Proves Orwellian for Artisan Seller

Dear Ina,
I wished to respond to your article (Yahoo Hosting Glitch Unrelated to Aabaco Transition - link). I had been a Yahoo Small Business customer for five years and since the changeover earlier this month I still can't access my account through Aabaco, neither can I successfully contact Aabaco for help.

I have been on hold numerous times seeking telephone assistance but after waits of 40 minutes to over an hour I have been directed to push numbers indicative of the type of assistance I wish to receive and am put back on hold again - it is a continuous cycle.

Similarly, when I try to access my account, I log in, am directed to claim my account, subsequently receive an email that my account is already active and I can now sign in to it, but when I sign into the account I am told I have no services with Aabaco and only account holders can receive help. It is an Orwellian nightmare.

I used my Yahoo Small Business account for web hosting in conjunction with business as a potter and as an artist. It is my main link with new customers seeking to see what I can provide them, and with old customers wishing to add to their collection or make special orders.

I don't know what I can do to break through this cycle of impenetrability and receive help to access my account.

It may be that I am a customer based in Canada. I believe, however, that my experience is indicative of a deeper problem with Yahoo services being taken over by Aabaco.
Regards,
Bob

I do not know but I do have 2 accounts with Yahoo and have not had any problems yet. I have not gone to update my accounts like I was asked but I do know that when there is a changeover there will always be glitches so I am waiting until they get everything all worked out. Both of my accounts work on redirects since they are only used as email accounts. I tried doing web accounts with them but they constantly had trouble many years ago so I went to Go-Daddy, Good luck with your problems.

@Bob

Have you tried to contact them through the email address hello@aabacosmallbusiness.com  ?

I found that contact address on their webpage here:  https://www.aabacosmallbusiness.com/learnmore

Hope this helps you break through their gridlock.
