eBay Fails to Remove Obscene Picture
I have contacted eBay's Trust & Safety Department twice within a week (February 26th speaking with Caden, and March 3rd speaking with Yolanda) regarding the obscene picture of a nearly-naked and very busty woman engaged in a sexual act (you have to closely examine the picture and see a man's bare legs) and the inappropriate message in the profile of eBay member (redacted by EcommerceBytes).
Both times I called eBay, I was assured these items were going to be removed and the member's ID would be "flagged" so he wouldn't upload more obscene photos or submit another inappropriate profile message once these items were removed. I would have attached a picture of this, but it is probably considered his and/or eBay's property.
eBay has no problem with, and doesn't think twice about, removing an auction listing they feel is inappropriate or violates their precious policies, yet they have not removed this despite 2 complaints in one week???
I discovered this eBay member when he wrote me thru eBay's messaging system (which Trust & Safety is aware of) regarding a top I had for sale. In his message to me, he states he is a "figure photographer....my models range from FF-KK+ cup sizes, 36 to 40". my wife also is very busty, 38 HH cup." His profile message contains this and much more!!!!
He then asks me "is this your top, have you tried it on, does it fit you tightly, are you busty like my models/wife?" He then states he's "looking for a reference to decide if this is appropriate for it's intended eye-candy needs" and asks me "would a pic if (sic) it being worn possible?"
Being a seller, I answered him only because an "unanswered question" icon would continuously appear next to my item. I replied professionally, thanking him for his interest (in the top) and further answered his questions about the design of the top. I also replied "based on your models and your wife's measurements compared to mine, sorry to say but no, the top will not fit."
eBay and this member really has me disgusted!! I am not a prude by any means, but there is a time and place for everything and this does not belong on eBay. Wonder what the FTC would say about this!!!! Hmm!!!
