Sounds like another LIE that yet another incompetent Customer Service representative made up on-the-spot. All corporations allow this because their goal is to get the caller to end the call in the shortest amount of time. It's not actually about fixing problems.

I have never heard of this nor do I know the circumstances. For example was the shipping more expensive than the item and a buyer was complaining?

I have heard of reps doing a "courtesy" unblocking of blocked buyers but not changing the amount the buyer is charged for shipping. Be much more glad it wasn't the former lol.

You could be reimbursed for the label. Ebay is very slow to do that in other areas for example when you have a buyer who opens a SNAD return for buyers remorse comments and you report it to ebay and they remove it and credit back the label. They do credit the label and it takes a month or two to actually happen. So maybe they did it under a similar umbrella?

A long time ago there was an oops in the programing that caused this to happen.  I have not heard anything about it happening in the past year or more.  However it could be it is back.

I suggest you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter and get it resolved.  I know you had no luck the first time you contacted CS, but that is another unfortunate thing about Ebay as it sometimes takes multiple tries to get something worked out.

Kinda off subject, but I'm helping a friend learn eBay and she too is finding forced shipping fields as well as a TOTALLY different interface then I'm working with that is so dumbed down and doesn't offer her the ability to select fix pictures, select places she wants to ship to, the description field that is limited to pretty much just deciding font size, and type. Also she is unable to have to convenience of looking at her all of listing in "graph" form - having the ability to change price, # available, promote. Is she missing something with all of this? Sorry for the long post and off subject.

yea, right...'you will be reimbursed', BUT first you must worm your way through their accounting maze, then contact them once a week for the next 3 weeks 'reminding' them you didnt get reimbursed yet....

Keep in mind there can be significant difference in creating listings between using the mobile app and a desktop or laptop.  Personally I only use my desktop or laptop to create listings.  I find that it is better for me.

Totally agree.  I also only use the desktop to create eBay listings. Don't trust the mobile app.

SF I don't know about forced shipping fields, interesting. I wonder if there is a settings field that will not be obvious that is buried somewhere.n that's almost always the case. You can't change or customize certain things in say settings, you have to locate it behind the toilet lol

Ebay never reimbursed for the error.  It hasn't happened again, but I believe the Sellers here that I won't get my money back & the Rep was lying.  The explanation the Rep gave me made zero sense.

Just contact the buyer and tell them you can't ship it until Ebay pays for the shipping since it wasn't listed by you as free. Then ask if they'd like to cancel the order.
