eBay Seller Complains of Crackdown on Soccer Jerseys

By: Reader

Dear Ina,
eBay are striking so many accounts these days. I have sold 5000 soccer jerseys in the past year, and recently they are restricting my account despite receipts, evidence and all manner of counter claim from me to the contrary.

eBay in my opinion are slightly off the rails.
J.

Every once and a while, the criminal (in mafioso language - the leg breakers) VERO part of eBay wakes up and pretends to care about "fakes".

Someone somewhere calls or faxes (yes VERO only uses fax machines) paperwork accusing a seller or sellers of selling fakes.

The hole of course in all of this is that theres usually not a "buy" - ie neither eBay nor the complainant have every seen your merchandise ...... (thats where a lawyers letter comes in).

Sorry this happened to you - its part of being involved with a criminal organization like eBay where there are NO RULES.

I mean, the OP left out 99% of the information.....who knows why they limited him.

@mrj55 exactly. Sometimes omission of facts tells a bigger story than the actual one.

Yes, one is left to wonder if the OP ever heard of licensing and officially licensed products?

I just don't see the point of AB even posting this as a story. It makes them look vindictive. There are 5,000 other legit stories they could find on any of the Ebay or Amazon forums as opposed to this.

Plus, yeah, OP has sold 5,000 soccer jerseys in the past year? 99% chance they were suspended for good reason and were selling knockoffs. Ebay doesn't suspend hardly anyone anymore....let alone for this type of stuff....so seller was definitely on the radar.
