Seller Is Out of Luck when eBay Packages Get Stuck

Dear Ina,
I am sure many eBay sellers that sell to overseas countries have the same frustration. eBay encourages sellers to continue their international selling and promise to provide support.

We have been trying to get help from eBay to deal with delays/lost shipping in international shipping due to covid19, with no luck.

Everyday, we are spending 2-3 hours trying to communicate with buyers in Europe and talking/writing to eBay CS.

The only help we received, sometimes is 10 days' hold on refund. FYI, some of the packages sent to the countries in Europe and Australia that were hit hard by the virus and  are yet to resume normal delivery.

 Some of them are delivered after eBay decided to refund the buyers. Now, eBay tells us contact buyers, that eBay paid them,

More than half of the packages we send to Europe are/were either held in USPS facilities or in destination countries. Some of them were delivered and some are in progress. We have lost a lot and it's getting more everyday.

It is only sellers that have to absorb losses - eBay/ PayPal/ USPS, they keep their share, and the seller is the only one who loses. This is unfair. eBay should help its sellers, as it promised during this tough time.

Hard-working sellers like us that continue to sell during the epidemic deserve support from eBay.
Regards,
Mani

@DevilishlySarky

"The problem is - ebay are allowing these buyers to lodge complaints before their last delivery estimate has passed - it doesnt matter that they have extended delivery estimates..."

This is true whether it is an international sale or a domestic one.  However Ebay doesn't allow the INR to get closed in the buyer's favor automatically by Ebay until after the ETA date and only if there has not been movement of the package in 10+ days.

Do not ship to Spain right now.
Have multiple packages that have sitting there for over a month.
Getting killed with item not received claims and negative feedback for international packages.
We need seller protection for these international packages.
