May you both be granted a swift and appropriately punishing resolution to this heinous nightmare.

Beyond the criminal attempt to stifle a founding tenant of our Constitution, it seems important to note there was also criminal attempt to stifle truth. That’s what motivated these acts; they had no better answers, libel didn’t apply. Those truth’s were freed and focused here, debated to be sure, but too often their ugliness was upheld by the unarguable reality of evidence.

eBay from it’s too often still mistaken perception since inception, has evolved into a facade of innovative benevolence cloaking self-serving exploitation. There is clear evidence it is not a trusted business partner, and at minimum, inept and hypocritical. And there was evidence that this ‘venue’ that would embolden such terrifying subterfuge was endemically flawed to it’s business core in the same ways and means.

May the justice to come help spotlight those too.

Ina, Good for you!  They need to pay for what they did to you and David.  I hope the attorneys are super tough and eat nails for breakfast!

I'm also glad Wenig is in this lawsuit!  He should be sued not only for his despicable actions, but for also literally destroying eBay!!

I am glad that it has finally progressed to the point where you were able to file this lawsuit against all that were involved, especially  Devin Wenig who we all know was the reason all of this happened.  I hope that you clean their clocks and especially would love to see Wenig lose every penny of that golden parachute that he was never rightfully entitled to as the company did nothing but flounder under his command.

I am sure that Ebay will never let this go to trial as they do not want to have to deal with it again and have all of their executives as well as former Board of Directors members deposed.  I hope that you are able to get so much money out of them that the two of you can retire to a private island if that is what you wish to do, although I will admit I hope you stick around as this site continues to show both Buyers and Sellers just what each platform thinks of their buyers and sellers, especially Ebay which is why Wenig needed you guys to be gone.  Best of luck taking them all to the cleaners as you both deserve it.

Ebay was suppose to release their Q2 results on July 28 but now they pushed it to Aug 11. I guess they didn't want these two stories too close together.

Good. Burn their asses as hard as you can.  Going on to trial would be a great reveal for all; but if significant (amounts that would really hurt ebay) are offered -- well that would be your decision.

I agree with Silver Ice King, this will never go to trial. eBay certainly doesn't want more details coming to light about the despicable actions of the Defendants. If it's one thing eBay hates, it's bad publicity. And I'm sure eBay's attorneys have already advised that this case is lost even before it begins. I expect a confidential settlement offer, accompanied by a NDA, to arrive soon.

I hope for the best outcome for the Steiners. Money is of course helpful, but I hope that they have peace and the ability to continue informing the ecommerce community without fear of reprisals.

The Steiners can also choose not to accept a settlement agreement if one is offered. If it then goes to trial, it will be up to the judge to award damages based on the submissions of both parties. I cannot see how they could lose. There is so much evidence that I wonder what the defence could possibly be. Other than everyone was just following orders.

If they were wrestling with funds before this, I am SURE the stockholders are gonna be more than interested in THIS. Guess it's time to raise the FVF to 37% and shipping costs to 20% in order to compensate for this mess.

I hope the Steiners get every single penny thats due them.

Its so odd that eBay would come after them - but never go after people like me - who accuse them of basically being nothing short of Al Capone - while the Steiners just produced "basically" news articles.

Shows you how low eBay will stoop to try and control - not only people - its sellers via illegal actions - but the message as well.

1) this is a BIG victory for the Steiners - thank you for all you do
2) its a BIG loss for the eBay cheerleaders here - who think that the evil things that eBay does are nothing. eBay went as low as committing real, actual crimes - and to think they wouldnt commit "white color crime" to hurt, abuse, steal from sellers is moronic
3) @ the Steiners - please (after you become REAL eBay millionaires) dont discontinue the site

eBay has always thought they were UNTOUCHABLE - well - the court and the Steiners have now reached out to TOUCH them - eBay deserves everything coming to them!

I am glad that the Steiners have been able to file this suit and hope it is successful in bringing a degree of accountability to all of the ecommerce platforms.  It is a shame that greedy and arrogant individuals are allowed to lead a major corporation like this.  Best wishes to Ina and David.
