![]() eBay is testing product-customization in Germany, according to Mark Steier of Germany ecommerce publication Wortfilter. We saw the news in his tweet today: "Hab ich das schon mal gesagt? #ebayistgeiler eBay startet Personalisierungs-Piloten exklusiv in Deutschland.," which Twitter translated as, "Have I ever said that? #ebayistgeiler eBay launches personalization pilots exclusively in Germany." He included a screenshot of a listing for a couch from furniture company Mycs (eBay user id: Mycs_GMBH) showing how shoppers could customize the configuration of the couch. We tried out the feature on one of Mycs's couches, and found we could customize various elements, such as choosing the size of the arms of the couch. With each selection, the price automatically updates on the eBay listing. ![]() You can read Mark's description of the new feature in this post on Wortfilter.de (you can use Translate.Google.com for an English translation). Let us know what you think of this feature! |
